Very nice picture!! Is that snow?

Yup! This was a Memorial Day trip to Timberline Lodge (Mt. Hood, Oregon). The glacier on this mountain allows for skiing/snowboarding all the way through September, although it has shrunk considerably in recent years.

Now that is heaven! I love the snow because for one thing the air is fresh. Thank you for sharing! And you look so good!

Stunning photo... The place, the smile, figure, hair... And yep the fit limbs. You can be there again in every way! We must be close in age, since we both have kids at university. I'm the strongest and fittest I've been in twenty years and am the weight I was in my teens and early 20s before kids. I didnt think it was possible at all. You can make your goals, girl!!!

Love the pic! You can do it! When I was in my 40's- I thought I was too old to ever lose weight. I didn't think I'd ever be under 200 pounds- but now I know I can meet my goals and you will, too. 💪🏻💕I guess Melissa said something similar. :)

I agree with Melissa and DP, I'm 68 and I still believe I can look like I did when I was in my thirties and forties. I am working at it seriously

I lost 80 lbs 15 years ago and every day is a challenge to keep it off. I look in the mirror and still see the same overweight guy I was then. The mind plays some funny tricks!

Outfit says 00s but hair screams 80s. Good luck with your goals!

Ditto on what Tim said. I am 60 no longer in high school, college, and do not look back to fitting in a wedding dress. Working to be the absolute picture of health for a woman of my age. Power on!!

THANKS so much for the encouraging words everyone! @Melissatwa I suspect we are close in age but I bet I am a bit older! I was 43 in this pic. At the time I was lifting with a trainer, and was the strongest/fittest I had been since college. Four injuries (not related to lifting) and some crazy hormones started my upward trend, and then, of course the "I'll never get it back" attitude kicked in. Over the last few months I have been just lurking around, and finally decided it is time.

Hormones and injuries make things so tough. I'm sorry... But, I hope you can feel encouragement that you can makes some good progress. And someday, we really need to meet! Is your kiddo heading back to UW in the fall... Assuming it is open? One of mine will be in a masters program there. Hang in there! If this was an easy journey, not a one of us would be here! ❤️

Yes, we do need to meet, and Masters program - that's fantastic - what field of study? My daughter is definitely heading back if they are open in the Fall. She was SO sad that her ocean field studies class is online this quarter. They were supposed to spend a week at the Friday Harbor research lab, and go out on the boat and collect measurements several times. She is trying to get out on the boat this summer and maintenance/collect data on a fiber optic line somewhere in the Pacific for three weeks. Fingers crossed that it's not cancelled due to Covid...
