In my previous life working for Corporate America I developed a little white lie for surviving in-flight small talk.
When asked the inevitable 'and what do you do?' I would tell people I was a talent scout for comedy clubs.
Rather than hearing their endless tales of experiences associated with what I really did, I would be entertained with every joke they ever heard. It was great.
I rarely miss Corporate America or business travel but I do miss the jokes from amateurs.
I'm having an off-kilter day here in Bellawood. I swear, if all that stuff I thought was behind me returns, I'm not going to be happy. (PMS) I'll survive, but .. dang Mother Nature, gimme a break, will ya?
So .. I'm doing well with the healthy eating, doing my treadmill, and generally all around content. I could just use a good joke. Any one want to step up to the mic for me?
