A.M. fasting BS 114. Weight 176.9 Protein smoothie for breakfast. Picture is my lunch yesterday, zucchini kale omelet, on my new rooster place mat.Had the grandkids for lunch today, so they had chili dogs, chips and left over peach cobbler. I had one weiner with cream cheese, mustard, and commercial guacamole. Even though the weiner added up right for my lunch balance, I still consider it junk food but redeemed by the guacamole. Update after supper: 1255 cals; 70/7/23; net carbs 14.96. Update2:Decided I needed a handful of pecans after church tonight and already ate my fat bomb early in day: 1353 cals; 15.52 net carbs; 71/8/21 % Fitbit steps today: 4489 at 10 pm.

My protein smoothie : Melaleuca ultra-performance protein ( has whey protein isolate/concentrate, contains 30g protein, 2gcarb, 2g fat, 0 sugar)plus I add 2 tblsp coconut oil, 1 tbsp 100% cocoa powder, 1 scant tsp instant coffee, liquid stevia, 1 tsp vanilla abstract, 1 cup almond milk. Total gives 437 cals, 33.05 fat/ 6.19 carbs/32.28 protein. It seems to be working so far for my goal, which is bring down the glucose rapidly, drop weight slowly, keep energy high, enjoy the journey.

good for you, I can't have the whey protein, but it is great you enjoy the liquid diet and have it worked out so well.

Baskington, I appreciate your help in improving my balances. The breakfast smoothie makes me feel non-deprived and gives me a nutritious start for the day. The rest of the day I try to keep Keto conscious so I can reward myself with a fat bomb snack in the evening, which also goes a long way toward feeling non-deprived! I have to work at it!I have a long way to go.
