26 January 2014 Now 179 lbs. Currently still on LCHF Low Carb High Fat diet with Bulletproofexc.com diet and Intermittant fasting.
Using Bulletproof Brain Octane which is 18X higher coconut oil from Upgradedself.com which is blended into my morning coffee along with about 2 inches of Kerrygold butter this satisfies me for 6 or more hours. I only eat about 20grams of carbs after 10am and before 3pm. I keep my protein around 70 grams. Age(78) times 0.36 = total for 78 year old weight lifter. No food at all after 3pm (only eat between 10am and 3pm. Bedtime 7:00pm up at 2am. Bulletproof coffee (with lots 1" of butter and coconut oil blended in) and sometime a little stevia in it. I grind Summatra beans and then do a poor over and then with hand blender mix the butter and Brain Octane fat into it.
Once a week after weight lifting I have half a sweet potatoe for the insulin spike and to feed the gut bacteria otherwise there would be not enough mucus in body. So to recap since I was 245 pound and ate grains and sugar and fructos fruit I feel much more alive on high fat energy than I ever did on sugar and wheat products and fruit is just so much candy if your insulin is out of wack as it is for most male humans who have a waist over 40inches. My fasting glucose stays below 85 and is usually in the 70's. Butter is my go to snack food. I have maintained 179lbs for a year or so. I recommend the book:"Fat Chance"by Robert Lustig, M.D. New York Times Bestseller (Beating the Odds Against Sugar, Processed Food, Obesity, and Disease. I try to keep all processed food, grains, and fruit out of reach.
