Its been over 9 months since I've posted .. and pretty much that long since I've thrown the towel in on dieting, or even stepped on a scale. To be very honest .. we recently lost two dear friends .. both died unexpectedly, one of a heart attack, and the other had heart problems as well .. and it has made me take a long hard look in the mirror as I evaluate my own health. It's time to take back control. I want to be the healthiest ME for my husband and my children. So. Here's to 2016 .. and a healthier me.

I feel like the prodigal who's returned! Been away for quite awhile now .. but it's time to dig my heels in and get back on track. I have no excuses .. I threw the towel in for awhile .. but today is a NEW DAY, and with it brings a new beginning for my journey. I am taking my youth group on a mission trip this summer to Honduras .. and so I am setting some goals so I can be at my best in order to handle the physical aspects of a mission trip. My goal is to lose 5 pounds a month for the next four months, and to build endurance through exercise. So here we go!
