So I was complaining to my trainer that I didn't seem to be losing weight and she started asking me when I was weighing myself. I said, "why after spinning class on Wednesdays". Well needless to say she informed me that each big ol' thing of water I was drinking was 2 pounds and sometimes I drink 2 of them during the class. I therefore was not weighing myself at the right time. She said first thing in the morning is best.
I've started doing that and see more consistency.
I also am finding that the calorie intake recommendation on my fitbit is very accurate. If I stay below what it says I can have (with my weight loss goals programmed in) I consistently lose weight.
That's it for this weigh-in...

This week I was happy to see the scale go down. I'm trying to lose weight without specifically dieting and without restricting myself - just following calorie count and exercise. Even though its slow going, I feel like if I can make this a habit of the way I eat/live, then it will be maintainable.
It's funny but whenever I run across people in my family that have dieted by restricting themselves, when they are exposed to a fav food, they cannot control themselves. My husband had French fries this weekend and I ate five fries and enjoyed them - my sister ate the rest of the basket! Everything in moderation I say!
Fingers crossed that I keep making progress.

I get so frustrated with the scale not moving sometimes! I did start measuring myself to see inch loss. I was super excited to see a total inch loss of 4.25 inches (overall). So phooey on you scale - at least I know it is working!

On vacation last week so am not going to sweat the weigh-in. It was a very active vacay - paddle boarding, hiking, kayaking, snorkeling but there was eating and drinking involved :-P
