There’s a story to go with this loss. I’ve been struggling to understand why I’ve been gaining weight over the past few months. I saw my GP last week to go through some bloodwork results. My sodium level was normal high which made no sense as I don’t add salt to food. We had the standard discussion of eating potassium rich foods, etc. I thought about it the entire drive to work. Nothing. I had no idea what was driving those numbers. After an hour or so at work I felt peckish so I reached for my snack of choice. Those delicious gluten-free SALTED pretzels. Seriously?! I’ve since switched to 40 grams of raisins and a few pieces of popcorn as my morning snack. Happy Wednesday my friends. 💜

Oops. Without looking back, I think it’s been a while since I’ve seen this. It could just be fluctuations, inactivity, not tracking, just not feeling well, or a combination of the foregoing. It’s not the end of the day. I got out of bed, am drinking my coffee, and will go to work. Not everyone has that luxury. Happy Wednesday my friends. 💜

Well, I struggled with this one. Record and be accountable or “forget” to weigh in and hope for a better weight tomorrow? I’ve been feeling bloated these past few days for some reason so here I am. I should be logging my food but I truly do not have the energy to do so. But I am watching my intake.
I’m working from home today and tomorrow because of our annual snow storm. In the early hours of tomorrow morning in 1982, the unsinkable offshore oil rig Ocean Ranger went to the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean during a storm off the coast of Newfoundland. All lives were lost - 84 of them. I think I can count on one hand the number of years since that we have not had a storm on this date. While it is Valentine’s Day, it is also a day or remembrance for those of us old enough to remember.
