Last week worked out 3 days and did just cardio to give my muscles a bit of a break from the weights.
It was our town celebrations which included going to the rodeo with the kids, and hubby and I went out to the street dance on Friday and Saturday. I’m sure most of this weight is from water due to the amount of alcohol and salty foods I ate/drank over the weekend.
This week is much slower, kids don’t have school but will be trying to get out with the oldest now that she has her permit to drive. We have 1 month to finish up all then4H projects the kids envision on taking to the fair, so that will keep me busy. I can’t believe the month of June is almost gone before I know it, it will be time to take kids back and forth to school for more activities!

For fun I stepped on the scale after listening and doing what my body wanted all week in terms of eating and sleeping. Packed a lunch so that Tuesday-Thursday I ate after I was done at the gym but right before picking up my youngest from school activities to go to swimming lessons. Most days this week I took a nap around 1:30-2 because I was just exhausted from the running and my work out, and my younger also was taking naps so win win in my book. Trying to have a slower day today and through the weekend but that’s even filled with activities through most of the day, some kids, some of it business. Hoping my weight doesn’t go up to much over the weekend, which it tends to do when I’m not going to the gym but doing other activities.

Made it to the gym only twice last week but also did some things that were important for me. Tuesday went to a new hair salon and got my fair done a little bit different then normal and I got to catch up with the stylist because I haven’t seen her in awhile. Then Wednesday was an eye appointment, turns out I have chronic dry eye and have to use drops frequently throughout the day and a thicker gel for night time to help with my light sensitivity; as well as my astigmatism has gotten worse so I need to start wearing my old glasses to start adjusting for the new pair that will be coming. All this while being the last week of school for my kiddos, my oldest received 5 letters between doing concert band, 2 solo contests, jazz contest, and musical performance. My son has “graduated” from the elementary school and will be moving into the middle school high school building in the fall and my youngest is a 1st grader…
School is done officially but there’s still classes/activities my kids are involved in for the next 3 weeks and then we get about 4-5 weeks break before the unofficial start of school activities again. Looking forward to the fall musical of Anastasia, my son learning trumpet and his Lego League which the theme this year is circuits and energy, and then studio dance for my youngest.

Hopefully the rest of the week goes much better than our Memorial Day did. We were without power for most of the day while we got hammered on by 3 different storm systems. Unfortunately there were tornadoes north of us, and some straight line winds that knocked down so many trees and buildings. I feel lucky to only have some bigger sticks laying around the yard. If these storms continue throughout the summer I’m going to go crazy with the constant what can I make for a meal without power?

What a week last week was! My youngest wrapped up here dance studio lessons on Saturday with 2 performances. She did an awesome job especially after rehearsal when she was able to see that it’s not that bad on stage and if you mess up people aren’t going to throw tomatoes at you 😆 which was her biggest fear about being on stage. It was a fun way to spend the weekend with family and friends.
Wednesday I had my annual physical which led to some worry due to the dr. finding a lump in my breast, which led to a few sleepless nights and a lot of worry. Friday I had a mammogram that showed everything was normal, and the radiology tech said sometimes during exam tissue can bunch up and feel like something when actually there’s nothing, good to know!
Because of these events I only made it to the gym once last week, but I did take two 45 minute walks around town while the youngest was in dance class. Looking to a small break in the kids activities (none planned for this week 😊) and getting some extra work done at my job that I’ve been meaning to do as well as get to the gym several days this week.
