How many of you are consistently in Nutritional Ketosis as per a Blood Keto Meter? This type of eating (plus 2 fried eggs) keeps carbs low enough that I have been in ketosis since labour day weekend. I have a couple decades of Insulin Resistance to heal, but i'm finally free of cravings and confusion as to whether i am about to "eat a meal" or "get a fix". Some fall colours to reflect peacefully on...

Yesterday, after that perfect Keto lunch, I was on an eating roll and stopped to pick up some grass fed beef on the way home. My first dinner was lean ground beef (not extra, more fat = better), with cheddar on lettuce, tomato and avocado, and sour cream (so more taco like), but I did put mustard on also... I enjoyed that so much I went back for more but this time made more of a bunless hamburger as I had the beef with the cheddar, the mustard and a chopped up dill pickle and more sour cream?! I overate, I was too excited about the yumminess and paid for it by being way overfull. The only good thing is when I was carb addicted and burning sugar I never felt full... It's a good feeling - I just need to SLOW DOWN... 2 dinners ugh!

Yesterday was a fasting day. The scale is always so generous the morning after a fasting day :) The key is knowing that when the Keto stick is purple on fasting days, the only fat being burned is MINE... goodness knows there is plenty left, but I say good riddance. Broke my fast at 2pm with a great Keto Lunch that STUFFED me! 3 eggs, 4 pieces of bacon, half an avocado, cheese, nuts and 2 little tomatoes. Oh! and the 3 Brazil Nuts are deliberate - the perfect source of Selenium/day, don't need more and you can OD on these, but yes you need to eat a lot.

Today was supposed to be a fasting day... but then there was sausage. Rapini sausage. No longer a fasting day. There is always tomorrow :)
And a puppy, always a puppy.
