Bit of a slump this week. I'm ridiculously stressed out, and not handling it well. I'm not overeating (the anti-depressants I started a month ago have really helped that particular issue) but I am oversleeping... which in some ways is worse! Tomorrow I'm going to break the habit and get up nice and early for a walk with my dog. Getting up with the sun always leads to an energetic day :).
I have more commitments than I actually have time for and have extra home stressors this week as well. I know that things will improve (because I'm making sure of it) so I just need to do my best to work through this week with a smile. Everything will be better with time.

EDIT: Following a major bout of depression, I am back with a new vigor. I was prescribed Paxil, which is the first psychiatric medication I've ever taken. I'm pretty anti-medication (I even avoid ibuprofen!) but I know I need it and I'm trying to accept this new state of being. It's tough because I lived through my parent's struggles with mental illness, and I'm afraid of becoming them. I know though that by seeking treatment I am preventing that.
Anyways, on the plus side I haven't had any of the anti-depressent weight gain, and have in fact lost a few pounds. My mood is up and my life is shifting back into order. Time to get back into that gym!
I'd like to lose about two pounds a week. The following goals are made with that in mind, ignoring this week (or re-made, as the case may be!):

Goal Date 1: 12/25/2011 (Christmas, a gift to me)
Goal Weight 1: 282 lbs (-14 lbs, 14 overall)
Goal Date 2: 03/12/2012 (Spring break -> ziplines in Vegas!)
Goal Weight 2: 260 lbs (-22 lbs, 36 overall)
Goal Date 3: 05/16/2012 (my birthday!)
Goal weight 3: 242 lbs (-18 lbs, 54 overall)
Goal Date 4: 08/21/2012 (first day of senior year)
Goal Weight 4: 214 lbs (-28 lbs, 82 overall)
Goal Date 5: 10/31/2012 (Halloween)
Goal Weight 5: 194 lbs (-20 lbs, 102 overall) One-derland!
Goal Date 6: 12/25/2012 (Christmas)
Goal Weight 6: 178 (-16 lbs, 118 overall) Pre-Baby!
Goal Date 7: 02/20/2013 (My Elder Son's 6th birthday)
Goal Weight 7: 168 (-10 lbs, 128 overall) Finally a healthy weight
I pledge that I will consume:
* Mostly water, tea, coffee, and milk
* A mostly moderate pescatarian diet
* Lots of vegetables
* Foods that make me healthier instead of sicker
* No sweets (sweets, not sugar)
* No fast food
* In moderation - I will not binge

* Count calories more often than not
* Journal often
* Be kind to myself
* Exercise self-discipline
* Seek out a therapist
* Make my goals known to my friends - I will not hide
I pledge that I will:
* Be athletic
* Workout as frequently as possible - specific goals may vary
* Focus on both cardio and weight lifting
* Include meditative exercises, such as yoga and tai chi
* Get my kids and husband involved
I love myself and my family enough to do this. I'm strong, smart, and capable. I will overcome this and be the me I was meant to be.
