I've always had trouble with my weight. When I was 16 I lost about 30 lbs and got down to 135. I was so very happy until. I got pregnant at 18. I ended up gaining 50 lbs with the pregnancy. I only lost 20 when I had her. I never lost the rest, just slowly started my way on a life of obesity. I weighed 235 or so when I got pregnant the second time when I was 27. I only gained 18 lbs that time and weighed less afterward. I stayed around 218 - 225 for many years after.
I started out this venture of weight loss again about 6 1/2 yrs ago. I saw an accident report that described me as obese (at 233 lbs I guess I was). But it shocked me actually seeing that in writing. Enough to push me to keep to losing weight. I got the weight watchers information for free from a friend, never went to meetings, just learned the program. It worked great, I lost 60 lbs in 7 months. No exercising.

I kept it off for most of the 6 1/2 yrs. The end of last year it started creeping up again. I gained 10 lbs back. I went back to try to be a bit more strict again and count points. I struggled with that for 3 months with no results.....I just couldn't stick to it this time for some reason. I did lose about 5 lbs in 3 mos, but that was just not fast enough for me. I then found the Fat Secret app for my phone. Took me a bit to "re-learn" what to look for in food from point counting to counting calories. It sure helped having this app to help me keep track and look up foods. I started this the beginning of March and have lost, by today's weight, 11 lbs so far. It has been soooo long since I've weighed this "little". I'm like a new person....again.
