To be honest, I got on this site because of an 'app' I downloaded to my Droid cellphone. It links to this site and sync's whatever I put in via phone. And of course, whatever I put up here, sync's with my phone. It just looked like fun - and it is.

I've been fighting with getting below 185 for years now.

My wife stays in good shape as well, but it's a battle for her too. It's hard work not letting yourself go to hell. Ha.

Our garage is a complete total gym with everything a serious bodybuilder could use. Free weights, machines, lifting cage, Olympic weight set, complete dumbbell set, etc. No excuse for not staying in at least some semblance of shape. One day I do weight training, the next I peddle our stationary recumbent bicycle. I usually only take one day off per week, and that's the day after my last day of work. I do one exercise per body part - 4-5 sets of 10 reps. Now, I won't be building any contest ready muscle like that, but I'm holding on to what I have. At 64, I don't think I look too bad. I'm certainly in better shape than almost all the guys I work with (we're all truck drivers).

I bring all my own food on the road. I don't buy ANYTHING at truck stops except for maybe a cup of coffee. I pre-fix everything for a week so I just re-load my cooler every day. Works great.

Luckily, I've been interested in bodybuilding since high school. I used to buy Joe Weider's magazines back when they cost 35¢! I've been in and out of 'working out' all my life, and have to confess that it was mostly OUT. Ha. But for the past 8-10 years I've really made the effort to keep at it. Me and Jack LaLanne...

I've got the usual truck driver back ailments. My L5 disk was herniated about 10 years ago. I was off work almost three months, opting NOT to go under the knife but to adhere to a physical therapy regimen that I keep up with to this day. I'm sure it's what keeps me moving under my own power - ha.
