I am 27 years old today.
I don't feel any different and I don't feel old, so I guess that is a plus. I am not logging my food today (not that I have since last week, but...) just updating the journal.
Friday ended up being way more festive than I thought. We had some people over, not many though so it was still nice and calm. Ryan's gift was beautiful. A photo book with pictures of our times together over the last 3 years. Some were pictures I didn't even know he had. It was definitely a wonderful present. On top of that, I came home to the living room full of balloons and a cake that he made. My best friend made me a pitcher of the most awesome/strongest margaritas I have ever had. It was a conscious effort all night to keep myself from pounding them, thus puking and ending up in bed at 10 :) I did it!!!
Saturday we got up and headed out on our hike. Long story short, we drove in a 120 mile circle (the directions sent us out one way and before we found the end discovered that it would have been way shorter to go up another way), never found the place and gave up. We did go look at some other historic places along the Yuba River and found some places we would like to fish so not a complete bust. By the time we were home I was begging for some lunch and a beer. After lunch we drove to the casino to meet a friend and his "ex" girlfriend, whom I really don't care for, but whatever. We hung out with them for a few hours and headed home. From there it was a nice quiet night on the couch.
Tonight we will be having my mom and brother over for dinner. I am going to make him BBQ ribs for me... I think. The rest of the week should be pretty low key. I have taken Friday and Monday off this week for a bit of a birthday treat. No plans at this time, except the Susan G Komen Sacramento 5K Saturday morning. Ryan and Bug will be coming with me. I am pretty excited... even though I know I am going to have a grumpy fiance come time to wake up on Saturday.
