DairyKing's Journal, 13 Apr 12

Had some personal things going on, and didn't get to bed till midnight. Alarm went off at 3:00 AM. Turned it off and woke back up at 6:00. Holy Moley! Jumped out of bed, did my chores and got to work a bit late. Rest day by providence.

DW had the kids over yesterday; I think she said, "Screw the rules!" I think she kind of regretted it though, One is 13 months, and the other is going on 3 years old, and they apparently were holy terrors. They were gone by the time I got home - a fairly peaceful evening. Looking forward to the weekend. We're supposed to get quite a bit of rain and storms, so I'll probably get a long run in on the treadmill. I've got plenty of projects to keep me busy, and inside.

Diet is going well; no loss this morning, but that's to be expected with a five or six pound loss this week. Staying somewhere around 15 or 1600 calories all week hasn't been as difficult as I imagined. I think knowing that I'm not going to stay there keeps me from panicking. Would like to be down to 215 again by the end of the month though. That would mean I had regained the ground that I had lost this year, and put me in better shape for the 5K on the 19th of next month.

Here's hoping all my FS friends have a wonderful weekend, and will have some great stories to tell come Monday. Toodles!

People are always asking me how much I'm worth. Well, all I can say is, I've got enough money to last me the rest of my life. As long as I die in the next 20 minutes.

We all have something to be proud of:

Thanks, and Heather, I don't think the cat present was real. :) I do feel more refreshed. Maybe a 5 or 6 mile jog in the morning. You guys are all probably staying up way too late at night. :D I try to get to bed by 10, but I think some of you are watching too many of those late night infomertials.

LOL. And I'm with you, DK. Bed as early as possible, so we can bring the day in with a bang.

Rest is very necessary, as I keep learning.

Ryan, they are Great-Grandchildren, so there are two generations of parenting before they get to us, so we can blame whomever we please. We love them bunches, but one thing we really adore about them is they go home when they get cranky.

Great grandchildren! You must have had yours at 14!

Thanks Heather! You're very kind. We did figure out what caused them fairly early in life. I think each of the kids figured it out a little earlier than we did. :)

They say that kids keep us young but sometimes we have to wonder right! Hope your weekend is a nice one!
