Some more helpful thoughts on stress eating. With finals coming up, I'm committed to making progress in re-training my late-night stress-eating habit.

Thanks for this. I just hit my goal weight and will need to be mindful of these things. I saved it. Good luck on your exams!!!

I'm glad it was helpful! Yes, I'm finally realizing that letting my health go over finals week doesn't give me more time or brain-space to study; it really drags my down and makes me feel much MORE stressed! Fighting for some balance here. :) Thanks for your comment.

Finals was always a bad time for me to stress eat ( and it was never good food). A conditioning coach suggested I try using a fairly light weight set of dumbbells by my desk. When I was tired of studying or had the urge to go snack, I would pick up the weights and either do curls or raises or something with high reps, till I felt more focused again, and ready to settle down and start studying agaain. With the dumbbells and a jug of water at my side, it kept me focused and gave me an alternative to snacking. It is easier for me to always remember to replace that bad habit with a good habit, and it is much more difficult to fall back on the old. Good luck with finals and keep the focus.
