have been trying to stay away from carbs for the past 3 days, not as easy as people think who haven't tried it themselves. I don't usually do the cooking cause the bf won't let me., lol, but a good 97% of everything he cooks is based around carbs whether it be potatoes pasta or rice there's some kind of a carb and everything else is a side dish. Eating healthy in my house always feels so impossible. I can tell him I would like a vegetable soup but what's he do?, fills it with orzo and rice, I feel like I can't eat with him,or at least I have to make my own food. He knows what I'm doing and going through but I feel like he halfway doesn't want me to be successful in my journey to a healthy lifestyle. I snack on peanuts and wasabi peas while he sits next to me making homemade ice cream sandwiches and going back for more junk after that (and that's all after we've had dinner, and after 8pm), I'm at a loss when it comes to dealing with seeing him do this all the time, but I know that no matter what, I'm going to make it because I said so. 🍀

I understand exactly what you're getting at, I'm in a similar situation. I re-started Keto for Lent along with quitting drinking and have felt my wife was not entirely supportive. Funny thing is, if asked, I'm sure she would not see it the same way I do, best to let it go and stop worrying about what they do and focus on your goal. Plan and make your own meals. I'm over 40 days in now and can tell you, the real benefits of low carb come when your body gets fully fat adapted, that took about 3 weeks for me. I intermittent fast about 16-18 hours several days a week with absolutely no hunger issues, calorie restriction becomes much, much easier over time with this diet. I haven't weighed myself since 03/01 but I'm pretty sure I've dropped 20 pounds (the first 6-10 being water in the first week) Stay the course, put your blinders on, and plow forward. I feel great.
