Well I'm almost back down to my lowest (measured) weight since college. It's funny, a couple of my co-workers, one of whom is my best friend, the other an older lady, are both trying to lose weight as well. Well today I said to the older woman "Yeah I'm down 8.5 lbs this month... Losing weight is easy. It's just sticking to it is hard." And part of me can't believe I said that, but honestly, losing weight is at least physically easy. It's only a struggle mentally. I'm doing a Pilates class once a week and cutting and average 800-1000 calories off of my 2700 "to maintain my weight" calories, the only difficulty is sticking to the plan! I've dieted once every year or two of my adult life, but my problem is that I can never stay strong and stick to it. Well now I've paid for my pilates classes ahead of time (my next 9 are paid for) and the studio is right by where I work. As far as continuing to cut my calorie consumption, that's where I've got to really work to keep up. But I've asked both my best friend that I work with and my boyfriend that I live with to hold me accountable. It's been a successful first month, and if I continue to lose a pound to a pound and a half a week, I should hit my goal by my birthday in October, or at least by the end of the year. I just have to make myself stay focused, make myself think of the end result, and make myself keep on driving past the Chinese buffet. lol!
