Just been to a coffee morning in Buckfastleigh organised by Katie to raise funds to help transport a lady back home from Athens in a medical flight with a Dr. She is critically ill after she suffered a nasty fall leading to a fractured skull and 2 bleeds on the brain giving her life changing injuries and is th mum of 2 young children! Felt sorry for Katie & the other organisers as only a handful of people turned up! I was pleased with myself cos I made a Devon apple cake for them ... and 5 people came up to congratulate me on it and 1 man said it was the nicest cake he'd ever tasted! I was fairly good, only eating 1 small cake.
