Changed the 5:2 too 4:3 diet. Fasting on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. I basically start everyday with Knorr Cup-a-Soup with 33 cal., then maybe an apple and chicken at night. Ends fasting days with 460-480 cal.
But feel like that is to little of calories. First week as 4:3 diet. I feel weak and tired.
This normal?

Your body will adapt to the change of eating. Try to ensure that you eat a good satisfying dinner on your non-fast day before your fast day. Fast days can never be too little calories, I do 23 calories maximum on my fast days and I train at the gym. The best supplement you can take is "time" so give it time and you will see positive results.

23 Calories? That's insane.

Yeah my 23 calories come from a cup of green tea and 2 cups of coffee. I first started with the 600 calorie fast days and then found I could easily get the no-food fast days done and switched to that. Never thought I could go +/- 40 hours with no food yet here I am doing it :)

I find myself thinking about what to have next on fasting days. Hard to me to hit the gym everyday because it's not a habit for me. I know that exercise would help the process alot, just have to push myself.

Hi Nanke. I am also doing the 5:2 hoping to go over to 4:3. what i have on my fasting days is a green salad (lettuce, tomato & Cucumber) for lunch and supper but I add tuna to it with a little bit of mayonnaise, i also sometimes put some feta cheese with. I find that keeps me quite full. I am going to try having chicken with it this week just for something different

NankeS its like a food adventure to plan those fasting meals :) I really enjoyed doing it as it made me realise just how much calories we are consuming daily without even thinking about it. Kimmy I did the same meals when I was on the 600 calorie fast days but I used Crosse & Blackwell Trim Original instead of mayo since its way lesser in calories and I also added some Nando's sauce to give it some flavor as their sauces are quite low calorie. I literally ate bowls full of food on my fast days just by choosing to use low calorie veggies. Roasted butternut and brinjal(the big ones) are so yummy and so low in calories!

Thanks BBO I never thought of trying the C & B Trim or even the Nando's sauces. I must say I have never eating brinjal so wouldn't even know how to cook it lol

Kimmy u get different types of Brinjal. There is one that is almost as big as a grapefruit. What I do is slice it width-wise so they are cut into circles and then I toss it with some salt, black pepper and paprika. Then I put them in a oven tray that I put just a drop of oil to coat the tray and I let them roast on in pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for about 15 to 20 mins. They become soft and buttery in taste and just adds more volume to your meal.
