Hunger pains from childhood were brutal and there was ALWAYS food and we kids ate whatever and whenever we chose. That said, I developed the habit of 'pre-eating' to avoid the pangs.
Fast forward to turning 60 this year and it is a habit I haven't *needed for 30 years and now is an Albatros around my neck.
I spend a significant amount of time and energy on nutrient density of the calories I eat and read constantly to up my knowledge.
I did add resistant starch to my day with Supergut and have found it really curbs my appetite while feeding the gut biome.
I take it around lunch time so dinner isn't my focus throughout the afternoon.
There is so much more to feeding our bodies than Protein, carbs and fat...
