Good morning FS friends

Do you ever wake up feeling blech? Not physically but mentally. I think today that is me. Want to be upbeat, rah rah sis boom bah, but more Bah than Rah. Perhaps it is the summer ending? Or maybe just plain self flagellation for letting my body get so out of control? Oz or no Oz, this weight loss/total lifestyle change thing is darn hard. Knowing that for me, certain things will forever be off the table (costco Cinnamon Brioche for example) Just can't have it, or a bite of it, as one is never enough. Stupid really, just a whole lot of empty calories. Food vs. quality of life. It is a no brainer, but a struggle nonetheless as someone who has had a lifelong terrible relationship with food. Still need to come to accept that my relationship with food can never ever be what it was and drive on. Ultimately, getting to goal is just the beginning. Staying there will be the real challenge. Have to stop overthinking things. One day at a time.

Maybe it was attending another Zoom funeral yesterday for a lovely person who died too young. 2 so far this year. Former colleagues, all in their 40's. Of Cancer. Seeing the hearse drive off, and witnessing the family's pain, brings all of those intensely painful feelings rushing back. So many losses in my life, parents, partners, friends. Does grief ever really go away?

Not sure what actually is at the root of things, maybe just a convergence of events. Figure I'll go outside with my fur littles and get moving. Splitting and transplanting oversized hosta time is now here.

Fresh air and activity should turn things around.

This too will pass

Over and out
