M.H.'s Journal, 08 Jan 15

uurgh. So I did go over my calories a bit yesterday fine not by a lot but I did. I wanted to go to bed crazy early and instead I didn't and snacked to stay awake. Then I noted this morning I had likely gained but I'm hoping it's just water weight and that come next week I'll have lost. I must be crazy to try to quit smoking and try to lose weight at the same time without going nuts! I can do this I know I can, I just have to keep from stressing.

Good for you, quitting smoking. I did it a year and a half ago and I remember dieting just to maintain my weight. I didn't want to gain or I knew I would start smoking again. It is somewhat harder to lose weight when you quit smoking because your metabolism tends to slow down without the nicotine boost - your body adjusts over time. Don't stress about it, it sounds like you are doing fine.
