This morning I did:
Heather Robertson - Strength Supersets // Total Body Workout with Dumbbells

Searched for supersets and this workout was great! Only had to stop and catch my breath a few times and used one dumbbell instead of both on two of the moves.

Took a walk in to town with hubby afterwards to help pick out his new glasses. He didn't really listen to me anyway, but I do like one pair he got - he ended up getting three, one of which is sunglasses - even though his sight is apparently not that bad. Anyway - so that was an 80 minute walk there and back with some window shopping in-between while I waited for him. Weather's gone really windy and cold looking now so I'm glad we got some exercise in earlier.

Calorie-wise the week has started well, but today we got a ciabatta to have with our lovely lentil vegetable soup for lunch. It's one of our favourite breads and I had it with caramelized onion humus and Aldi's new alternative to Mature Cheddar, which has a great texture and taste to me. Hope they'll keep doing it beyond veganuary.

So in my mind that is two strength workouts so far (since my desk calendar starts on Sundays) so I'll try to do another one on Thursday or Saturday - or perhaps both days. Not sure why I've switched to shorter workouts lately, but they just seem to appeal more these days. Maybe I'll go back to 45 minutes again - not sure. For now I'm in to short and sweet and getting things done.

Shorter workouts with higher weights get good results and obv take less time so you don't get bored. I am for the short and sweet!

Mermee I'm ashamed to say I still do pushups on my knees, but the other day I did manage to plank on my elbows and with legs straight - for 40 seconds and then 45 seconds in two separate workouts. Dropped to my knees for the full 2 minutes Caroline Girvan was doing, but I felt quite good about managing at least some of it in the full position. I will keep trying to improve, but I think I have a bit of a mental block thinking I have a weak core as well as really weak wrists and I just have to push through it and start to try - even for the shortest time. Glad you were able to get back to lifting this week and I'm sure you'll get back to where you were again soon! xxx

Aah - brill! Thanks Chestnut63! You're brill too for doing that 2 mile walk to the supermarket and back this morning. Sure you'll get back in to longer walks as the seasons change. Well done!
