How do you take it? I am still just trying to figure it out before I start. Any advice.

Turmeric is rather miracle for me, beside the chewables are my daily dessert. I take two chewables. I also put tumeric powder (buy from India stores to get bulk) in my broths - see recent mushroom broth picture on my page. Chili (capsaisin) or black pepper (piperine) enhance tumerics anti-inflammatory effect and decrease hunger. So I take about 5-10 black peppercorns with the tumeric. Usually before bed as that is when my body gets most stiff/discoordinated. There are good studies on NIH and articles on Healthline and LiveStrong.

I have never tasted it before what does it taste like? And sir you have every right to have your opinion but I have mine also. I believe in natural remedies not chemicals. I believe nature (god) made everything for a reason and our ancestors believed it also. The human life expectancy was alot longer before chemicals. But thank you for your concern.

Tumeric is an amazing natural anti-inflammatory. when I was first diagnosed with SLE my Rheumatologist recommended it for me right off the bat. There's all kinds of ways you can take it. I use to make "tumeric bombs", (little balls I got the recipe for online using all natural ingredients). Now I just take the capsules because I really don't like the taste. Something else you may be interested in looking into is Turkey Tail Mushroom Tincture. Its an immunomodulator that has been unable to be reproduced or synthesized by the pharmaceutical industry. Works wonders on inflammation, and has a ton of other amazing benefits. I've been taking it for over a year now and my Rheumatologist was able to take me off of the Plaquenil and Imuran combo I had been on for many many years. Just PLEASE, like any medication, make sure you talk to your doctor about it first.

Tumeric is very bitter and “dusty” in flavor. I offset that in cooking with sour (lemon or vinegar), sweet (cardomin or cinnamon) or spicy (mustard, chili, pepper). It is no accident that curry powder is a combo of all of these came together or that mustand has tumeric. Rick the more science learns the more we see how lifestyles and food traditions that have survived 1000’s of years were passed down because the survivors were the ones passing them down. Just like during digs they found lavender pollen in the rushes (floor cover) of plague ancestors of current people living in England and Native Americans brewing willow bark for pain - at the time people just saw it work and the survivors lived to pass it down. Lavendar repels fleas and willow has the chemical base for aspirin. Science only caught up recently - 1971 John Vane finally showed how aspirin works. Science on tumeric

Tumeric does not lack science https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC5664031/ The biggest problem is absorption and the is solved by the use of piperine.
