Picked about 8 cups of raspberries, put one cup on my food tracker as I ate a few while picking, didn't measure. Froze them. There will be more ripe today. Too bad their season is so short, should have lots next year too as there are lots of new canes growing.

Lawnmower still not working, will have to take it in somewhere. Shoulder is sore from trying the pull start.

So excited!! Had forgotten that the stock market closes at 1:00 on July 3rd. That means we have a 4 hour day on Thursday and get paid for 8. I'm off at 11:00!!!

Ballgame or games after work today, depending on if they win or lose today or tomorrow is the last of their season. Another grandson's tournament starts the 7th.

we had to start a new raspberry patch; the drought killed ours, plus my husband cutting them down wrong time of year. Anyway, there are raspberries that bear twice a year; even better in the fall. You could maybe add some to that patch.

Didn't know you were a stock trader .. .why aren't you trading inside secrets with your buddies here... we need the $$ for new clothes, fitbits, etc. :-)

i'm jealous of your raspberries! i could never do pull start anything, so we got an electric, rechargeable mower. definitely worth it.

Plant some, takes a few years to get a decent crop and you have to protect them or the birds will eat them all, learned my lesson last year!! I'm pull start challenged as well, except my tiller always starts, that I loved my electric one. Ball games cancelled so working inside catching up before I run away for the weekend.

Bella, not a stock trader, I work for transfer agent and software company for the financial industry, who contracts to many mutual fund companies. I primarily work with one mutual fund company but fill in for several others. I'm on the phone all day with clients and financial advisors. I do trades, help people with forms, answer tons of questions, help people access their online accounts, and handle all incoming faxes for the company. it's dang stressful many days. they don't pay us what we are worth but we have terrific benefits. a transfer agent handles bookkeeping and customer service for a stock, annuity, or mutual fund company.

we just moved, so i didn't do any planting this year. we have to decide what to put in for next year. and then we have to build raised beds because i live in the city and the soil is contaminated with lead and other stuff. plus we're putting in a garage, so planting is on hold until we see what kind of space that takes up. i would like to plant them again. we had some at our old house, but i didn't net them and the birds got everything. we were just over there last weekend, and they were growing like crazy!

my mouth waters thinking of the raspberries, reminds when I was a teenager, I picked in the fields in the summer , to earn money to buy my school clothes, picked strawberries, raspberries, blueberries and string beans. I love all of them still.

Gnewfry, last year the birds feasted on my raspberries too. They are good this year some will get overripe while I'm gone this weekend. Karen my kid's picked fruits and veggies at a truck farm as well. They were caught raiding a berry patch and the neighboring farmer put them to work, paid them after the first day. LOL. I'm loving my raised beds that I built this year. Good idea to wait a year before planting. That you can see what the drainage etc. IS in your yard. I bought my house in March and tackled the yard the same spring. It had had no gardens, just an overgrown lilac bush and things creeping over and under the back fence from the park's woods. If I would have waited I probably would have saved $$ and work as I've had to re-vamp it beginning last year to make it work.

Plugged it in Google and there are a bunch of recipes for them. Makes sense as raspberry vinegar is good.
