How do you track pulling the pull start on a lawnmower about 100times? Lawnmower will not keep running, finally quit. Lawn not done, hoping I can get it done this week, may be that trip to the lake won't be till Friday morning. Tis ok, kids won't be home till really late Thursday as they will be working out of town, granddaughter will be staying with a friend. Also less traffic.

:-/ I can relate to that...very frustrating. If you are open to suggestions, and if this has been a chronic issue for that machine, something that has worked for my family is switching to an electric lawn mower. (We have 2 broken gas powered push mowers and one non functional riding mower. We got tired of dealing with those and trying to keep them running. With the electric one we have now it is a lot safer- no burning gas so no fumes- and we haven't really had issues with it starting or running. It takes getting used to working around the electric extension cord, but it's been a lot less of a hassle to deal with than trying to start the gas mowers when they've stalled.)

Awww... yeah, ironic situation.. frustration but a free workout. My mower is totally manual.. one of those old push ones.. runs on Bella :-)

Wow, Bella, to me that's pretty hardcore! Using those can be very difficult (at least at the house I grew up in that was what we had that I was allowed to use and it was a royal pain; I was never able to mow the whole lawn with it.) Sounds like you've never missed arm/ upper body work out day if you are used to using that. :)

Bella, used to mow my grandfather's little yard with one of those. Had an electric one, after 2 years (warrenty expired) the motor blew up and caught on fire! Loved it though, miss how easy it started. My current on usually starts, had it serviced in March and turned up the pull start repaired. Might be the gas, will dump that out. Am going to get some starting fluid on the way home and see if I can get it going as the carb cleaner and heet were in it overnight. Work out yes!! my upper back and arm are sore this morning grr.

I have the old fashioned push mower, doesn't use gas or electric, its a fantastic workout and it was cheap at sears, it even has a bag on it to catch the grass. It actually cuts my grass shorter then the electric one I used to have.

I've thought about a non powered one. I'm doing much better now but asthma often stops me from working outside . Missouri weather is not always nice to my asthma or my arthritis. My electric push mower was often a major challenge, so I really do appreciate my self propelled gas one, especially when the ozone or high pollen alerts are out. In the spring and often early summer it means grass mowing at least twice a week and often the self propelled one has trouble getting through the thick grass.
