debbra's Journal, 06 Apr 09

Kids are home this week from school, and I'm going to try to keep my bearings. I always get off track when I don't have my schedule. And I tend to get lazy about doing my to-do's like cleaning and exercise. But I'm just going to tackle this house this morning, and hopefully that will keep me in balance. My little guy also is getting a little sick, with the sniffles, and he's irritable. Oh, well, enough complaining. I'm off to start my day.

Yesterday was a good day, not great. I wrote about it on yesterday's journal. I'm not 100% pleased with yesterday. But I am about 90% pleased, which is better than I thought. And I have to say that the fact that I didn't totally go off the deep end dietwise when I felt like I had overeaten is a real improvement. Because this morning, even when I decided to inflate the numbers, it wasn't that bad and I came up with a deficit for the day's calories. Usually the FEELING of overeating would have driven me directly to the peanut butter. But I stuck to low cal indulgences, and it didn't end up that bad. So I'm patting myself on the back.

I didn't exercise today. I rested my left leg because the shin, all the way up to the calf, and even higher, is hurting me. I just didn't want to exacerbate it. But I ate very well to compensate. Good day! Amazing, actually, under the circumstances.

Ok, I just got into buying sugar-free jello pudding... and the chocolate meal replacement bars (south beach) and I like them a lot. I am only concerned with the idea that I could eat a whole box, really! I also think that whenever I am in overeating mode to chow down on all veggies... to let myself do the overeating on veggies. You are doing so amazing. Good luck with the kiddo's being home, it is understandable the feelings you have about that. Since they are home you could always be way LESS lazy and take them somewhere where you have to walk, or something like that.

You're right about going off track when you're not following your "regular" schedule. Glad you're not being too down on yourself. 90% pleased is good. : ) ::pat pat pat::
