Oh Monday, how I do loathe thee, let me count the ways..... It was a good weekend, but I needed an extra day. I couldn't get to sleep last night, so I got about 5 hours in, so needless to say I'm dragging butt today. I want to get a workout done after work, but we'll see how I'm feeling. I know tomorrow will be a rest day because my son has baseball early, so I really want to get something done tonight, but not if I'm going to fall over while I'm doing it. Maybe I can take off work early and try for a nap. That sounds wonderful.

Saturday we went to my hubby's step-sister's wedding reception. It was nice, good food, fun crowd, and she was absolutely gorgeous. I didn't eat horribly there, I took small portions, and had salad. I'm sure the piece of cake wasn't the best for me, but it was yummy. We stayed for a few hours and went home and my kids were just bored out of there minds the whole time. We didn't know a lot of people there, so they didn't mingle. The DJ came around to the tables to take song request for the bride and groom and he asked my daughter and she just gave him the evil eye and said "I don't really like music", poor guy, he got the wrath of a 12 year old girl who's bored. It made me laugh though.

My hubby and I went out to dinner on Friday and then he took me shoe shopping. I ended up getting a new pair of running shoes and tried them out on Saturday and they were great. My hip still hurts a little, but I could run and the pain wasn't so bad I had to stop and when I was done I could still walk. I've always just tried on a couple of pairs of shoes and thought they felt fine and they were running shoes, so they must be good. This time I tried on a lot of different shoes and there was one pair that felt so much better than the others, and even with the little bit higher price tag my hubby talked me into getting them. I am now going to be a lot more picky about my running shoes, try on everything, and not settle for something lower priced. I have happy feet now!

Well, I think in my sleep deprived stupor I've rambled on long enough. Have a great Monday!!
