3.1 miles walked yesterday, all with doggies. 3.3 miles today, 2.6 w/dogs.

I'm back to wearing shorts on a more regular basis since the weather has been consistently above 70 degrees this last week. Well, surprise, surprise, my now-usual shorts, size 16 are feeling looser than they did late last fall, when I ditched the shorts for jeans. The 16's are still OK for dog walks - for now - but I've tried on the 14's and they're just fine, albeit slightly snugger that I prefer. I'm beginning to calculate how many pounds lost each size has correlated to in order to see if I should begin to buy a few 12's. I really thought the 14's were the size I'd wear near my goal, but I'm still 30 pounds away.

The other day when there were troubles logging into various pages on this site, it was a surprise to me that I was almost panicked....how can I get my food logged, how can I figure out if what I'm planning on eating will be OK, etc. K8yk (Kate) has a challenge starting in a few days that should help me begin to just trust my body and its signals. While this site is WONDERFUL to keep oneself on track, I need to learn to become independent of it, trust what I know about Atkins and follow my body's signals. I'm hoping my body's signals can be trusted...

We have a trip planned next month to go to Atlanta for a few days. That will be a good test of trusting in what I know/have learned and paying attention to my body to stay on track. I don't have a smart phone, so there's no app for me to use; it will just be all on me to do right.
