Good Evening, FS Warriors! Had a fairly busy day today, but that really wasn't my excuse for not working out. Got to bed pretty late last night. Had a haircut appointment this morning, and set the alarm for 6 AM; I knew I would have to get up early and run, feed the animals, and take a shower before heading out to get my haircut. Problem: didn't want to get up that early on Saturday after staying up so late. Kept hitting the snooze button until I knew I couldn't run and make my appointment. "Oh well," I told myself, "You can run later." Didn't happen. We did make the all you can eat breakfast at the Optimist Club though. It was right good too. French toast, Texas size and big fat sausage links. I had four pieces of French toast, four sausage links and a cup of OJ. Then DW obliged me by giving me one of her sausage links because she is not a big fan of sausage. So, restraint failed me <said with a sheepish grin>. I tried to go easy the rest of the day. DW suggested we stop and get something to eat, after our trip to Walley World for pet food and vitamins. I declined, and we both agreed there were plenty of leftovers in the fridge. Didn't matter; I had a peanut butter sandwich for lunch and then went out and got on the tractor before I could sabotage my intake any more than I already had. Other than a handful of chex mix before supper, I didn't Kamikaze anything else today. I do plan to get up early before church tomorrow morning and run. I can't afford to lose ground, but a day or two of rest now and then doesn't hurt the effort; just have to be careful that excuses don't become the natural order of things.
Well, it was a decent day here in the 50's. Sun was out most of the day and I managed to stay warm, while keeping busy without the need for a jacket. Been a while since I could do that, and it felt good. Looking forward to more and more of those days. Well, it's getting late again, and I don't want another excuse for skipping tomorrow's workout, so I'll bid everyone a good night. Toodles!
