LTHOMP56's Journal, 26 Feb 21

It's so frustrating 😫 I had less calories this week than last week . I don't know how I managed to gain a whole 1.2 lbs. All the progress from last few weeks gone . It makes me want to just give up. I sacrifice on food because of calories and it doesn't matter I still gain so why not just enjoy the gain?

I truly understand! I’m celebrating my daughter birthday 🥳 and for her birthday party she wanted a nacho and taco bar I feel so bad because I had veggies early for dinner but I also had a small plate of nachos just now and I feel like I’m going to be so over weight this weekend. I also weighed myself every morning and gets so disappointed when I see that I haven’t lost or I have gained so now I’m only going to weigh myself every Friday because my mental can’t take the disappointment! So please don’t give up we can do this! You have come so far! I was looking at your journal and I wish I could be your size right now! You’re doing awesome!!!! You look amazing

Dont worry about it. A 1-3 pound weight gain could just be a natural fluctuation, it really is nothing to be concerned about. Just keep up the good work and you will be fabulous in no time!

Maybe gaining muscle... are you working out? Dehydration also causes water retention- drink a LOT! Also, being a woman and hormone fluctuations- real challenge if you watch a scale. Dont give up!!!

Thank you all for the support. I've read all the comments and it really does help . You are all amazing. We all struggle at one time or another but with support from ppl who know how you feel helps to put things in prospective and not seem so over whelming.

I completely understand your frustration! Try not to beat yourself up and trust the process in the meantime. I'm guilty of that myself and it's so hard to shift your mindset. I weighed myself the other morning and realized later on that my scale didn't save it, so I stepped back on and was up 2 pounds from that morning. Rationally, I know that I didn't literally gain two pounds in a few hours but it's still disheartening. Just keep tracking, even on the "bad" days.
