Andouille chicken sausage and brown rice

@dortiz857 thank you I’m glad I made extra rice cause it was pretty tasty. The meat however did not stand a chance lol

So for seasonings I just made a big amount and put it in a jar. It was just one I found online 3 tbsp smoked paprika 2 tbsp Salt 2 tbsp Garlic powder 1 tbsp Black pepper 1 tbsp Onion powder 1 tbsp Oregano 1 tbsp Cayenne 1/2 tbsp Thyme 1 tbsp Chicken bouillon Red pepper flakes as garnish

Veggies I used Garlic Onion Cherry tomatoes Yellow and red bell peppers Meats For this day I just used targets good and gather andouille sausage (I’ve heard hillshire is pretty good but have not used this, this was my first time making this)

Butter Olive oil I sautéed the sausage with a little olive oil and butter till they browned. I took the sausage out and added the onions and bell pepper in with a little water to help deglaze the pan. Once the softened I added the garlic, seasonings and sausage back in to let that marry.

In another pan I put a little oil and rice to brown. Once it started to change colors I added my spices and stirred. I waited maybe a minute or so then added water, seasonings and tomatoes. I made 2 cups of rice so added 4 cups of water ( I did have to add a little more as I went along due to the rice absorbing it and not being fully cooked at that point. I say I would add like maybe a tablespoon at a time)

Once rice was cooked I combined both. I’ve seen people combine the meat while the rice is cooking. I didn’t because I was concerned about the brown rice taking forever to cook. The following day I made chicken breast and definitely recommend adding the sausage and chicken breast. I will say I was not to fond of the casing for the sausage it honestly reminded me of a casing of a summer sausage lol sorry this is the only way it would let me send the message
