So tomoorow I'm quitting smoking! I will get weight gain, but I've completely been off my diet (binging on chocolate) and eating convenience food. It's my New Year's reset. I stocked my cupboards with fresh food so I can have good health as I go through withdrawl and a crazy month ahead. I wish I could go to the gym to burn off stress, but I haven't been since the Pandemic hit, even when it was open. It's just too risky for me as an older broad, lol!
Thank you for the messages about my dog, I miss him like crazy but it's not as bad as that first month now. And JacobNash, I deleted your comments, you're just a blip!
Since he passed away I've noticed that my resting heart rate has gone up considerably, or maybe that's all of the chocolate? Either way, I'll be off sugar for a while. And the weight gain when I have quit in the past goes up quite suddenly about 1 month into a quit, so it's chopped veggies for mindless snacking - I hope!! My waist has expanded, and I don't fit into my size 31 pants anymore (all belly fat for this girl), so I'm glad I never threw out my old pants as tempting as it was. But I started at 185lbs, and I'm still 20 pounds under that original weight, instead of 40 lbs under as I was last Spring. That's my saving grace!
And I need to stretch! And sprint walk! I do get my 10,000 steps in on my Mon to Fri. But I need more vigourous walking as well.
Happy New Year everyone!! We can do this, yes we can!! (Bob the Builder).
