Yesterday's race went well. Except almost lost my eye sliding into a tree. Ran 3 hrs and 59 minutes - 35k. Pouring rain, mud and fast flowing stream crossings. I'm glad I survived. Nutrition and hydration worked well.

OMG!! I am so glad you did not destroy yourself. Congrats on completing the race even in the adverse conditions! That is such a great accomplishment for you! :)

Thank you JennBuck. Body feels great today. I have signed up for my next big race. June 11. 40 miles, Highland Sky in Davis, WV. Been trying different things with my nutrition. Discovered baby food puree instead of gels and energy drinks. Comes in squeeze pouches and tastes decent. Got a 25 mile training run on Saturday. Really excited to get the next 10 lbs off!

Interesting what you said about the babyfood puree - my 14 year old discovered it and that is what she uses for her fruit snack. So easy to take to school and have it without any messes. She says it tastes very good as well (I have not tried it)!!
