2ManyCurves's Journal, 18 Dec 13

Med checkup today:

BMI 33.3
BP: 118/76
Waist: 36.5
Blood Sugar: 86
Total cholesterol: 170
LDL: 122
HDL: 34
Triglycerides: 69

I was actually directed to drink a half glass of red wine several times a week to increase the HDL. Funny. Never had a doctor tell me to consume alcohol for better health.

Per doctor's office, I have lost 60 pounds. I am not logging it though as I'm only using the weight from my scales at home and I'm not 100% positive my scales are accurate.

Only a few more work days remain. I am completely ready to vacation.

Ha! I tell you...I was laughing uncontrollably and she just stood there with a straight face. Now, I have absolutely no idea how taking in pretty much pure sugars converts to increasing HDL, but I'm already eating pistachios and almonds like it is a job. It's like Christmas came early and is very timely in light of the upcoming cruise. Woohoo! Booze time. Ha
