Today was so nice! After listening to fireworks all night on Halloween, we got up early and hit the road for a mini-road trip. Because Monopoly, we had to go to McDonalds for breakfast, but I had a plan for that, and got my usual coffee with cream and the treat of a sausage and egg mcmuffin, no cheese.

We then went for a walk - part of the reason we picked the location we did (a resort town about three hours from home) was so that I would have access to benches as my ankle, which has been wonky for several weeks, needed rest. Well, my ankle didn't hurt at all! We walked about 6000 steps in one go, with zero pain, and it still doesn't hurt! It was such a huge relief!

The weather was so gorgeous that we drove a bit further, and ended up at another gorgeous area (a provincial park), at which point we turned towards home. An hour into it we were starving...hubby drove past any number of places we could have gotten some food, and finally decided to pull in to a Wendy's (for which our teenage boys lobbied). One Jr bacon cheeseburger later, I was feeling really good!

By the time we got home, I was cold and tired. My father-in-law (we live with my in-laws) had bought donuts, but I decided to make a bowl of banana cinnamon oatmeal.

I'm body tired for the first time in weeks, and I am feeling good!
