Sandy701's Journal, 14 Dec 10

Well, the doggies and I got 3.1 miles walked. I waited until almost 1 to go. It's 49 degrees which is the best we're gonna do for today. But it was sunny, not too windy (a BIG change from yesterday), and the neighborhood was pretty quiet, as the kids were still in school.

Got my errands done this AM. Found the last of the batteries, a screwdriver, and 1 extra large gift bag for the Angel Tree gifts, so they're now all completed and ready to be dropped off at church tomorrow on my way to the resale shop. DH actually volunteered to do the grocery shopping today because he's got some things to do in that neck of the woods after work. Yippee...that saves me a good amount of time so I can tackle the remaining gift wrapping. I finished 2 out of 5 people's gifts to ship last night and dropped them off at FedEx this AM when I was doing the other errands.

Gotta get me some lunch now, before I do anything else. The salmon burgers I tried yesterday for the first time were really, really good! In fact, I think I'll cook one up for today as well.

Both doggies are completely sacked out here in the office right now. They are nicely worn out from their stroll and their after-stroll game of run-around. They were a bit hyper yesterday with no walk, so I knew I really "should" get them out today. Fresh air and exercise always makes for "good" dogs!!!

Oh gosh, and here I thought 3.1 was a 5K! Oh well, I get a few walks that are 3.3 or 3.8 if I have to adjust my route (usually to avoid loose dogs). 3.1 does all the loops/streets available without doing anything twice.

Sorry, I'm late as alway.:) Glad to hear you got in your walk. Nice job on getting your gifts off. They will surely be appreciated. You have such a kind heart. You sure are one busy little beaver. I know, tis' the season. Way to go!!!! I totally agree with the fresh air and exercise makes for good doggies and healthier ones too. Can't forget the healthier part.:):) Hope you have a wonderful day and again I'm sorry I'm a day late.:o:o:)

Laurie, it's always nice when you stop by....whatever the day! Since I began this weight loss journey back in spring, I've been taking the dogs nearly every day (typically not Sundays) and they now expect it, of course! You can see them prancing around in the morning after being let out as if to say, "OK, c'mon, time to go." When it's as cold as it's been lately (nothing like YOUR cold, however), they get confused when I don't take them until the warmer part of the day. Today, we went out at about 40 degrees this AM because I had my volunteer work to go to this PM. We have some warmer days coming up, maybe even hitting 70 degrees. I'll think I can spare a few degrees to send your way!!! LOL! Anything to get you out of the deep freeze! Have a good evening.

Thanks Sandy. Our companions are so understanding and forgiving to us. Got to love them!!! They will be much happier too when you go in the warmer temps. A great evening to you too.:)
