Not weight loss related, but the smoke is so thick today. Woke up sneezing from the poor air quality :( I don't even want my pups outdoors in this.

Enr4hisglory-we are in Ridgecrest Ca, about a 2 hour drive from Bakersfield CA.

Rcguenth-thank you! Right now I believe we are safe. To be honest I am not entirely sure how close the fires are to us, but I don't believe our town is at risk for evacuation 🙏🙏 praying for all those families that are suffering from so much more than smoke and poor air quality 😢 🙏 💔

So I looked up the active fires in California and the one closest to us is the Creek Fire in Fresno County 0% containment at this time. . 🙏🙏🙏🙏🥺😥

Oh man, it's awful. I hope they don't end up with the sunlight choked out from smoke too. 🥺🌞 we're sure missing the sun and fresh air today. I am worried about the COPD/asthma/CHF patients. It's so much harder on them with the poor air quality. 🙏🙏🙏🙏 my mother has all three and becomes oxygen dependent when it's like this.

I was wrong, i thought the Fresno fire was closest to us, but there are three fires in the sequoia national forrest nearest us as well as the new Eldorado fire that started from a gender reveal party 🥺 🙏🙏🙏🙏 many homes have been evacuated in that area.

Thank you dama, we are ok. The smoke is super thick, so having a swamp cooler is no good because it's basically pulling the smoke inside. I have had a headache since yesterday afternoon from the poor air quality, but my children all seem unaffected thank God. I'm praying they get control of these fires soon. The Creek Fire in Fresno country went from 87,000 acres yesterday to 143,929 acres today and 0% containment. It's so sad 🥺🙏🙏🙏🙏

Hello Aaron are you guys located in CA? My kids are doing distance learning already due to covid numbers in Kern county so they are in class via zoom now. Im sorry you are all suffering from this smoke too. It's awful, I am so sad for all the people that have been displaced from their homes because of the fires. 🥺🙏🙏

Not in CA, Washoe County NV. We’re doing a hybrid system so there is some learning available.

Wow, the CA fires are having that much impact on you guys too? Or are there fires there as well? It's scary how lightning can cause this much damage. The lightning storms on August 24th caused 560 fires in CA. 😳🥺 How is that system working for you all? This system is not at all organized, and we still haven't been able to get into a decent routine with it yet. I hope it isn't like this all year.

There have been a few fires here but they have been contained within a day. Most of the smoke is from CA fires.

I wish they could get control of the fires here that quickly. It's so orange outside from all of the smoke. I decided to turn off the swamp cooler in hopes that it'll keep the smoke from coming inside. 😬

I am wondering if you could wet a towel and drape it in front of the vents on your swamp cooler to help filter the air? I grew up a couple of hours away from there and cannot imagine not having a swamp cooler or air conditioning this time of year.

That's definitely something we can try! Thank you! Right now it's actually pretty comfortable inside since it's only 93° and not 115° for once lol
