Dr. Appt this morning for my son. Hoping they release him so that he can return to football. Although I have noticed some behavior changes since the concussion that have concerned me. He seems to be overly emotional lately. I don't know if it is frustration from being sidelined or an actual symptom from the concussion. He has not complained of a headache since last Saturday, which is good news. He was returned to physical activity last week but not released for football drills (basically no contact). So, he has just been running during the entire football practice. Yesterday, his practice lasted four hours for which he ran the entire time. He stated he thought he hit the fifteen mile mark. I wish I had his athletic ability.

I've signed myself, son, son's girlfriend and my daughter up for The Color Run tomorrow. I'm looking forward to it as I think it will be a nice distraction from what has transpired with work this week. I just hope that I can maintain a pace the entire 5Ks rather than drop back to walking. That sounds ungrateful. Three months ago I would have just prayed I could walk 5Ks without having to call someone to come pick me up in a car. Assuming I complete it tomorrow, I will achieve my first mini-goal.

I went through my closet and dresser a few days ago and pulled out all of my 18s and above. I gave them all to my mom. She loves them. I figured if I got rid of the clothes that are getting a little big on me, then I will be more inclined to stick with my lifestyle changes because if I gain weight I will have no choice but to go naked. Let's hope this works for everyone's sake. I noticed I had a couple outfits that I really really love and did not want to part with. I may be a big girl, but I've always enjoyed buying clothing and I have some sharp big girl outfits. On the upside of this, while perusing through my closet I found outfits that I have had from five-ten years ago. Yes, I am a clothes hoarder. There was stuff in my closet from a size 5 all the way up to a 24w. I haven't even been a size 5 since I was in the Navy over a decade ago. I don't know exactly what size I am at the moment, but I found a formal gown that I had wore as Maid of Honor in one of my girlfriend's 4th weddings. That marriage did not lost longer than a few months and she remarried a 5th time and is now divorced. But, the dress has lasted and is still in excellent condition having only been worn twice. The dress is marked a size 14. It fit. I wonder if it is maybe just made a little large though. Sometimes sizes aren't real accurate. I will take this on the cruise with me in December. I purchased a used formal off ebay as well to take for the second formal night. Per ebay, the new-used dress is a size 14. It has not arrived yet. I guess that dress will clarify whether I am really a 14 now or if the old bridesmaid dress is made big.

Ok, time to get ready for the doctor appointment. I'm happy to be out of the office for a few hours this morning. Fingers are crossed for good news at the doctor.
