Sandy701's Journal, 14 Nov 10

3.1 miles walked about noon-time. Heavier rain and storms are forecast for tomorrow and Tuesday, so Stairmaster and my dance DVDs will probably be my options for those days. My legs were really tired today, even though I got a little extra sleep last night. Maybe it's because I went extra distance yesterday.

OF COURSE, my weight is the same yet again. I'm trying not to think about it. But, I can't NOT think about it, it seems. I'm running all sorts of possibilities through my head. I'm pretty sure I know what to do to get it moving again....I just don't want to do what I "need" to do, so I'm trying other things, hoping they'll work and I won't have to resort to those measures.

I spent part of yesterday working on cleaning the swimming pool filter. That should be it for heavier maintenance until spring, even though the pool stays open year 'round. I also forced myself to spend just over an hour weeding one area in the front beds. Seeing those weeds every day has been a nagging reminder for months, so I did at least a part of it. After the forecasted rains, it should be even easier to weed, albeit messier, so I can try to eventually get the entire area done, doing a bit of it each day.

Well, I'm off to get some steaks cooked on the grill. Gotta cook while it's still nice weather and before it gets dark!!

Sandy, you have been busy today, haven't you? I sure wish we would get a little more rain to alleviate the drought situation here. We had about 1/100th of an inch Friday night, and they said that was our best shot at it for the week. :( It is so dry (how dry is it?? lol), that when I mowed the front acre last week, for the last time this year, I was working in a dust cloud that didn't disipate for over an hour! Crazy. Glad you are having a good day, and hope your week is awesome!

Thanks, Stef. It HAS been a busy day. DH took the dogs early this AM so I could sleep in a bit. Then it was off to church, back home for our getting-to-be-usual lunch of baked chicken leg quarters, watch a football game, pay some bills and write letters, clean up kitchen, clean lettuce for salads for a few days, and get the grilling done. I think the rain is supposed to hold off early in the day tomorrow so maybe I can get the blower and blow some of the leaves out of the gutters in back....they're overflowing with leaves and the trees are nowhere near done dropping leaves. I just don't want the downspouts to get all clogged as the rain tries to push all the leaves into them!! Our trees won't finish dropping leaves until early to mid-December, so this will be an ongoing thing. Have a good week yourself!

Wow, you have been a busy little beaver, haven't you? I've also been very busy doing yard work all week-end. I'm glad tomorrow is Monday, the husband won't be home all day and I might get to rest a bit. He can really be a slave driver at times. Enjoy your evening and talk during the week.:)
