2ManyCurves's Journal, 04 Oct 13

I feel as if the last two days, I have eaten awful. My caloric intake was not out of bounds necessarily. But, the food I actually consumed seems to have made me sluggish and bloated. Ah..Pizza. I love it. But I am apparently incapable of enjoying only a slice. I read in a journal how the best way to stay away from the monster is to not get close to the cage. (Thanks, Kingkeld!) While I know that I can have one piece of pizza and balance it out with my calories, I also know that it taunts my self-control. Anyway, I'm back on the wagon today.

I weigh in tomorrow. It will mark my the first day of my third month of healthy living. I know how my brain works and to continue my own personal motivation, I need to see the scale continue in the right direction. So, today is a protein day! I've started the morning off right with turkey bacon and a hard boiled egg. I believe at lunch, I will eat pulled pork. And dinner tonight will be country style pork ribs. I will also set out to consume all of my necessary water intake. I am going to refrain from G2 Gatorades today. I've found that I have been drinking quite a few of these lately. I do not like the fact that they contain sucralose and high fructose corn syrup. They low calorie (only 20 kc in 8 oz.), but the sodium coupled with the unnecessary carbs is only making me sluggish. I will keep my carb intake minimal today. I do plan to use bbq sauce however. And, tonight I will put in my mileage. We walk/jogged 5 miles last night. Tonight I intend to at least put in 3.5 miles. I also want to eat early this evening (prior to 7pm). I am hoping that the damage I have done in the last two days will not reveal itself tomorrow morning.

Between my husband and I, we have lost over 65 pounds since August 5th. Granted he has the higher number, but I am not too far off his loss. That is like a school-age child. I am so thankful I have someone so supportive of this lifestyle change. The fact that he jumped right in with me has really helped to keep me motivated. I won't be too hard on him for deciding to bring home Papa Johns Pizza Wednesday night. He walked with me last night the entire 5 miles. Yeah...I'm a lucky girl.

Pizza Hut is hard for me to resist too. I eat it on the days when I am really low on my Calorie and carb intake. We had it last night. I prefer thick crust but we have learned to like thin crust and very light cheese. Last night I had 3 1/2 slices and still was under my intake #'s for the day. I wish I could get into walking but I am very bad about it you are awesome with it. Great you Hubby goes along. Have a awesome weekend...

I was terrible at walking at first. When I first started, I could barely make it a half mile without my feet and ankle killing me. But, I've just learned to enjoy it. It gives me quiet time to catch up with my husband (he usually will walk with me if I do not get home too late from work). When I am going it alone, I tend to put in headphones. My music tracks actually help to keep me motivated.
