Spent all night in the emergency room with step-daughter. Blood pressure was supposedly out of control when she left the house. When we arrived at the ER at about 10:30 last night, and triage checked her out, blood pressure was normal. Then she said she was having chest pains. Since she has had stints put in her heart, we have to take everything seriously. waited for 1.5 hours before they finally took her back to a room; place was busy. All tests came back negative for anything and everything. I stayed in the waiting room while fiancé and her best friend went back with her. I think the one doctor on the floor forgot she was back there. She comes back out at 5:30 AM with a prescription to treat heartburn. Right! She had been having problems with the fiancé and may have been playing the 'sympathy card'; done it before.I don't know whether it was just more drama or she was really ill, but we couldn't take a chance. Had $50.00 in my pocket, but no way to use the vending machines. I think they turn down the temp to ensure that participants are serious about their dilemma. I was so cold and hungry by the time we got out of there, diet was the last thing on my mind. I stopped at McDonalds and got 2 sausage, egg and cheese McMuffins and a cup of coffee. Got home, fed the dogs, and went to bed. Got up at 10:30, feeling pretty refreshed. I'm sure every family has a drama queen; I think we have more than our fair share. It sucks when the kids know every doctor in the county, as well as all about their families.

Going to relax today and work on cabinets. Holiday tomorrow; looking forward to some R&R. Toodles!

Never, under any circumstances, take a sleeping pill and a laxative on the same night.

Phew.... Glad she was ok. Difficult to tell if someone is being a drama queen, or is really ill... Trouble is, you can't risk it... Although, if it is a 'put on' they should think, before putting people through the trauma... The next time, it may be 'real' and everyone will think it is 'another' drama. I don't blame you for stopping by McDonald's... That's what stress does -( hope you enjoy today, working on the cabinets :-)

You are right about most families having their share of drama! I guess our lives would be terribly dull if we didn't have it though. Glad the results were good for her and you! Sweat out the Mickie D while building cabinets.

Oh boy. You have your hands full. Glad she was ok, so sorry you had to go through that. Hope you get the peace and quiet that comes with your building work today. I can't wait to see the cabinets. I like your DW's color scheme. Sounds really "homey."
