DairyKing's Journal, 14 Aug 13

Going to be a gorgeous day here in central Illinois! It was 53 degrees when I left for work this morning. That's not too shabby for the middle of August. Did a little clearing of brush last night, and did a little carpentry work for a project I'm working on. Thought about getting one of the bicycles out and getting it road worthy again, but just didn't get around to it. Weighed in at 253 this morning - after a breakfast of only oatmeal and light grapefruit juice. I'm back to the heaviest I've ever been, so only one way to go from here - and that is down. Although the weight doesn't prevent me from doing anything right now, I definitely don't want to weigh this much when I'm 90; sex would be more trouble than it's worth then. Started logging my intake again this morning. What a dummy to think I wasn't going to gain, when I quit doing the things that took the weight off. I guess they call that denial. I still want to run, so it's back to my version of the C25K. I'm not buying bigger clothes, so it's either lose the weight, or risk my buttons becoming a missile hazard. Well, back to doing what they pay me to do. Here's hoping all my FS friends have a wonderful day. Toodles!

So wonderful to have you back, DK. You've been sorely missed, not to mention the oodles of sage advice that you give, keeping us grounded. Here's to a new C25K and tracking again.

Thank you Heather. It's good to be back. I wish I was writing this 20 pounds lighter, but as long as there is breath, there is opportunity to take it back off.
