I'm not sure if being on this site is really helping my progress. In all honesty, I'm not sure what will help my progress right now! I'm in a terrible rut in so many aspects of life. I'm open to persuasion, but I'll probably stop coming here soon.

Try not to give up, the hardest bit it to get yourself in the right frame of mind bit like stopping smoking. I've managed to do both, and I know it's a cliché but If I can do it, anyone can 🙂

Don't give up Ali, you can do this! It's all about switching your mindset from 'i cant' to 'i will'...and maybe it will roll over into other areas of your life, help dig you out this rut, mind over matter,,you can achieve anything you set ur mind too ❤️

Keep going, you can do this! Stock up on loads of low calorie snacks, drink lots of water, we are all in the same boat. It's not easy to lose weight but stick to calorie counting for a few weeks, it will make a difference

Inches2018, I can log my foods but it doesn't help me to restrict, I just get depressed at the huge numbers!

Hey Ali babe, when you say you log food in, it still doesn't restrict you, is it from having more food? Is the reason because you are hungry? If that's the case you need to up your protein to keep you fuller for longer. Your daily protein is your weight X 1.5 = your protein for the day. If your emotional eater you probably need to talk to someone or like kirstyhas1 said meditations. Please don't leave and don't keep things bottled up. Hi Ali, please don’t give up - this journey is incredibly difficult and hopefully what this site can offer you is the mental and emotional support from others on the same journey. If you are in a rut, please share (if you are comfortable) and maybe we can all help brainstorm ways to help you and each other. (: If I were to offer any advice, it would be; - Don’t let a bad day or two get you down. The journey is what’s important and some naughty foods once in a while won’t ruin it. Just take these days as they come and keep going the next day - Don’t start too big when you can’t handle it. I got so bogged down when I cut carbs cold turkey, so instead just cut them out slowly from the diet, one day at a time Anyway, wishing you all the best, whether you choose to stay here or go!
