mars2kids's Journal, 03 Jun 13

My weekend was not so good. I was planning on logging my food and eating better, but that flew out the window. I did okay with my eating during the day, then in the evenings I was eating everything I could get my hands on. I've been craving junk food horribly, but now that I'm feeling better I'm ready to get to eating better. I hate that whenever I don't feel well I want to eat junk.

Well, I got my workout in already and I have a pretty good eating day planned, but I'm not sure about dinner. I made a chicken stir fry for lunch that I've split up for the whole week, yum. I also bought plenty of fruit for the week, so I'm going to try to get back into a good routine.

I was doing so well until last week. I'm sure I was down a pound or two, but now I'm back to where I began last month, so reset! I know I can do it because I was doing really well, it's just frustrating to know that 1 week of not doing well can kill all that hard work. I can only hope that next time I get sick I remember this instead of stuffing my face.

It sucks that it goes on so much easier and quicker than it comes off, not fair!! Good job getting the workout in already and having an eating plan. Those are steps in the right direction!

I know. If only we could lose as fast as we gain.

I get that way too, wanting junk food. And the thing is even though you are full, you still want more and just for the taste of it...This past weekend, I wanted to get take out pizza Saturday night but my son wanted to stay at my parents' and have supper with them...which means only good wholesome food and no junk. But that was a good thing for me because I stayed around the 1500 calorie mark. The things you have to do for your kids!!! Anyway, enjoy your stirfry - much better eating option then junk food and koodos to you for getting your workout in already!

So glad you posted this. I am going to have to keep it in the back of my mind not to pig out when I'm under the weather, because I usually do. Maybe an "only chicken soup rule" should apply.
