I just weighed in and I lost .2 lbs from my last weigh in, so it let me know that it will take me 38 months to reach my goal weight. LOL! Maybe so, but I hope not. Unfortunately, I think I may be a person who goes up and down forever, but I'm okay with that if it's not a huge range and I can still fit in most of my clothes.
I've been fluctuating between 135 and 137 and haven't recorded my weight in a while, so I told myself that no matter what it was I was recording today and it was 134.8. Woo hoo! Not a huge difference and I may go back up, but it must mean something is working. I think being more consistent with my workouts has made a difference.
Well, it may take me 38 months but I'll just keep trying. :)

38 months! With summer coming and all the fun activities, it will probably only take you weeks! Any loss is a good thing! Definitely keep trying! Good luck!

That's how I feel most of the time. Right now my tipping point is that 130! I stay under I can weart anything I own, I go over and i can't. My goal isn't too much more. If I could get to 125 then my "up" times shouldn't go above 130. Would I like to be lower that that sure but I'd be happy esp given my build. Then I'd work more for fitness. Actually if I could just wrap my head around not being so self-concious and do that now I think the muscle would get rid of the last pounds of fat. So simple but I get in my own head and freakout and give up on the strength training. So I'm not asking for much but I have to re-committ like I did 20, 30 and 50 pounds ago. We are BOTH so much better off that before either way :-).

I feel the same way too. This site is the best thing that has happened to me for helping me to stay motivated, but I thought I could diet and not work out. Wrong!

I'm hoping I get at least close before 38 months. I'd love to lose about 5 more pounds and just stay there at least and if I lose more that would be great, it's keeping that 5 lbs off that is going to be hard. I too have figured out that I will not lose by working out and not dieting, or dieting and not working out. At least I'm not alone! :)
