Boy did I miss having my late evening dessert last night! Somehow, having a dessert prior to 7PM for the Christmas Challenge didn't seem so "special." I'm used to getting everything done, like putting dishes in the dishwasher, turning on outside lights, letting the dogs out for their last time prior to bed, etc. and THEN having my dessert. Ah well...I can change this habit for a few weeks.

I went on a bit of an adventure this AM when I was walking. Because I had already walked the dogs and dropped them off back home (getting too hot for them), I could go wherever I wanted to go. I followed a dirt and gravel path behind our housing area toward a body of water that I had seen previously. I thought it was part of the nearby golf course, but found out it was its own lake. And, a beautiful one, at that. As I stood there admiring the view, I noticed something familar and saw the back of a house we considered buying when we moved here. It still looked nice and especially inviting on the lake this AM. I don't regret not buying it, though, as it was pretty dated on the inside and the neighbors on both sides had pools and decks that seemed WAY too close and visible, with no apparent way to remedy the situations.

All in all, a very nice, albeit very HOT, morning, made especially so by dropping to the magic 200-pound mark. Puts me on target for the Challenge and for my personal goal to reach it by Labor Day.
