migraine yesterday and lingering today. Ate what I wanted when I went home from work early. A nice Publix sub, fruit, 3 peaches! splurged on chips... just felt like I needed to give in. Stayed within my 1800 calorie limit.
Still feeling wiped out. Body is sore and tight, got a tension headache on the verge of migraine. Whether sux. Just going to be 'normal' today. No pressure to be super active. Really need a good massage. Not going to blow my calories or anything. Just giving myself permission to chill out.

Looking back. So I guess I did end up blowing my calories! The next few days were tough for me. Wasn't feeling the energy I wanted to. Felt down. Repeat headache days. Got back on track calorie-wise, but activity stayed low. Finally broke free on Saturday with a morning walk. Had a weight change to report and been feeling better since. Definitely feel better when I start the day with a walk. It's just that I am not excited about walking. I think I need to find a new activity. I don't do gyms or scheduled classes since I'm on a new Mom budget and schedule. I'm thinking peddles for under my desk and a slide board for mornings.

Reflecting on this again. Had a migraine the day before my 'plateau.' Nothing spectacular about the activity or consumption that day, but was poor weather, high stress at work etc. I seemed to have gone off track since I felt crummy. Then I blew my calories AND I see my sodium went well above the 2gram target I try to stick to. This certainly doesn't help my BP, headaches and water retention. So from there I had 4/6 'high sodium days. I kept wondering, why am I not seeing a weight loss? Kept going up, and I didn't report a weigh in those days. On the 6th morning, FINALLY I saw the drop 164.4-163.6=0.8#. The following day another drop 0.4# and another 0.2# drop on 8/19. With a calorie deficit of 7,167 for the period 8/12-8/17 I was thinking I'd see 1-2# loss. On the 19th (7 day period) I am 163.0# (-1.4#). So I am going to keep my motivation to stick with the good ol calorie deficit targets and mind my sodium. It's a matter of BP and overall well being, not JUST the ##s going down. Feeling reassured of my plan and have a renewed awareness of sodium... seriously never saw bread as my sodium enemy, Publix multi-grain sub roll (525mg) was WAY worse the deli meat (140mg) and cheese (70mg) that was on it!!!
