a question for our New England members..., how do we log a stuffed quahog?

I just had my first one, Sat! another site had it at 144 calories, so I did moist bread stuffing at a 1/2 cup for 176 calories

Thanks! The boyfriend's daughter is in town from WV and he always makes stuffies for her and he always goes overboard by making about 150 of them, but I've only had 1 and I do like them but not nearly as much as he does, so I'll probably only have 1 or 2 more out of that 150., lol

They were good. I am not into fish food, so I was suspect. I found that if I did not chew as much, I did not run into a clam. The fish food texture freaks me out. LOL

We put ground chourico and ground bacon in ours.., not the Portuguese style

So yours don't have any quahog in it? My friend was mentioning chourico, but he was saying quahog plus chourico. As I said, it was my first one ever. I do not now how they work, really

It does, it has Quahog, bacon, chourico and a crapload of bread.., lol

A full bushel of Quahogs, 2 lbs of bacon, 2 pkgs chourico, and 20 loaves of Italian bread all mixed together in a Coleman cooler.., lol

You can put that in the cookbook, and do 150 servings to get your calories

It's tough cooking small. It changes all the ingredients and taste. :-)

a quahog stuffie is when you do the above ingredients with seasoning and mix it all together. You then bake it in the now empty quahog shell. And serve it that way too. It's pretty much bread stuffing with quahogs and sometimes other stuff as stated above.

and the best way to distinguish between a quahog and a clam is a quahog is the size of a grown man's fist whereas a clam is smaller
