mars2kids's Journal, 09 Oct 12

Took the dog on the long journey to the vet yesterday and he is doing well. They said about 3 or 4 more weeks of some restrictions and then he should be able to go back to normal life. They said that he can go for short walks now, so that will be good for me too, it gives me a good reason in the evenings to get off my butt.
I ate horribly over the weekend. I seem to say that after every weekend, so I need to quit. I realized this past weekend that my will power still isn't strong enough to have cookies in the house. I also didn't get a workout in on Saturday like I wanted to because we were so busy and out of the house most of the day. I'm going to get back to the workouts this week though. I did get my workout in on Sun. and this morning, so I just have to keep going.
I'm going to try to make some vegetable soup tonight. It's not many calories and it's great for the chilly weather we've been having.
Hope everyone has a great week!!

Glad your dog is feeling better. Weekends are always less organized for me too. There is no routine, like on the week days. If you were out of the house most of the time, you probably did burn more energy even if you didn't do a formal exercise. Hide those cookies away and get back to healthy eating! Yay for soups!

Weekends are hard for me too. I think it's because I am home and have easy access to the fridge. Life is also difficult because I have to keep plenty of snacks on hand for hubby and boys so that they don't lose weight, but I don't want to be tempted by it, so I have come up with a solution: I buy snacks that they like and I don't. Therefore, they get plenty of mint chip ice cream, fudge rounds, and chewy chips ahoy cookies, and I'm not tempted to eat them! I'm happy to eat my fruit, veggies, and yogurt! lol
